FOA Approved Training

The Fiber Optic Association has developed curriculum guidelines for training course approval and only approves schools or training organizations meeting our standards. Schools or training organizations which offer training which meets FOA standards are listed on this website and are authorized to offer FOA certifications.

This program will progressively build upon key subject areas with emphasis on safety. One of the most difficult aspects to understand, Fiber Optic Testing, will be core to each module from the beginning of the program. The first lab will start with insertion loss testing of a known quality cable before the student begins their first connector. The FOA published curriculum will be a cornerstone of this program.
