The Fiber Optic Association has developed curriculum guidelines for training course approval and only approves schools or training organizations meeting our standards. Schools or training organizations which offer training which meets FOA standards are listed on this website and are authorized to offer FOA certifications.

MJD Consulting has over 35 years experience in communications, specializing in fiber optic technology services and training. Presently offering all FOA certification courses, both copper and fiber. The fiber courses offer both classroom instruction and hands on labs and include instruction and practice in all aspects of installation, restoration, and industry standards. The premise cabling course includes both classroom and hands on practice, covering voice, video, data and wireless networks. Classes are held in Mass. or in a private facility anywhere in the U. S. A customized course can be arranged for a client and requires a minimum of seven students. Additional courses include certification in alternative energy, solar, wind and fuel cell, as well as the FCC general radio licensing and electronic technician certification.
