FOA Approved Training

The Fiber Optic Association has developed curriculum guidelines for training course approval and only approves schools or training organizations meeting our standards. Schools or training organizations which offer training which meets FOA standards are listed on this website and are authorized to offer FOA certifications.

Fiber optics for outside plant and premises applications, emphasis on hands-on training, National Electrical Code, etc. Courses arranged at customer sites and other locations throughout the US. Classes have been taught at New York University, Syracuse University, Boeing, and US Marines-Camp Pendleton. I have 20 + years experience teaching Fiber Optics. My teaching is enhanced by extensive real-life work experience on fiber optic projects in the field. I have taught many classes for AT and T workers in St. Louis area. Installed fiber at UMSL, Lambert International airport Missouri University of Science and Technology and trained many contractors in St Louis and eastern Missouri. Students are definitely going to get the skills right to do the job right the first time.
