FOA Approved Training

The Fiber Optic Association has developed curriculum guidelines for training course approval and only approves schools or training organizations meeting our standards. Schools or training organizations which offer training which meets FOA standards are listed on this website and are authorized to offer FOA certifications.

Fiber Optics and Fiber Splicing - gives overview of FO equipment - includes premise, outside plant and OLAN applications. Students receive hands-on instruction including mechanical and fusion splicing, connectorization techniques plus optical testing, including OTDR use. FTTH lab on-site. Structured Cabling certification with hands-on instruction and labs Academic credit: three credit hours - contact school for prerequisites. Classes conducted at MTC or customer sites. Offering CFOT, CPCT, plus CFOS/O via our Center for Workforce Development
