The Fiber Optic Association has developed curriculum guidelines for training course approval and only approves schools or training organizations meeting our standards. Schools or training organizations which offer training which meets FOA standards are listed on this website and are authorized to offer FOA certifications.

Lewis-Clark State College has offered educational services since 1893. Workforce Training is a department of LC State offering short term training to up-skill or re-skill individual in Idaho educational region 2.
Our entry level course for in Fiber Optics splicing is a 3-day course, designed to provide successful students with the skills, knowledge and abilities for basic fiber splicing. We offer an extensive lab situation including state of the art fusion machines. Students will leave our course with the basic tools required for safety and splicing.
Pre-Requisite-Successful passing of the FOA Basic full online course (https://fiberu.org/#basic) prior to attending this class.
Classes are offered on the LC State campus in Lewiston, Idaho or we can come to your site if you have need for a custom course.
