Global Com, Inc. has been offering multiple types of industry and job skills training for over ten (10) years including fiber optic and structured cabling systems (premise). We offer four (4) basic types of training, including orientation, in-house, mentorship, and industry training. The training is delivered using classroom, on-line, training videos and is customized to each student’s skills gaps, career roadmap and company/client product-driven requirements.

We are now pleased to offer FOA CFOT (Certified Fiber Optic Technician) and CPCT (Certified Premise Cable Technician) certifications. These courses are based on the FOA Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities set forth by the FOA. For Global Com Training certification means that our student has achieved certain performance criteria and is better prepared for on-the-job performance.

Our 5-day course covering both the COFT and CPCT certifications, gives students the theory, and the hands-on skills needed to pass the certification tests. Offering both classroom and hands on instructions, students will learn to install cable, terminate both fiber and copper cables according to current standards, codes, and best practices. Testing and troubleshooting skills will be taught using an OLTS and OTDR for Fiber cables and Certification testers for copper cables.
