The Fiber Optic Association has developed curriculum guidelines for training course approval and only approves schools or training organizations meeting our standards. Schools or training organizations which offer training which meets FOA standards are listed on this website and are authorized to offer FOA certifications.

FiberNexxt Communications provides affordable, FOA-certified fiber optic training and certification through live, instructor-led classes offered both in person and online. Our core 4-Day CFOT® Certification Course delivers a balanced combination of fiber-optic theory, hands-on skills training, and FOA certification. Students receive practical instruction in fiber cable preparation, fusion/mechanical splicing, connector termination, and basic fiber testing. Courses are available in a live classroom setting or as live online sessions. Online students are required to purchase a fiber-optic toolkit. FiberNexxt also offers a 1-Day CFOT® Refresher Course designed for experienced technicians and supervisors with two or more years of industry experience approved by the FOA. This course provides a focused fundamentals review and FOA certification, delivered live in person or live online.
